Please consider contributing to the National Guard State Family Readiness Council to support us in assisting New Jersey’s Army and Air Guardsmen who voluntarily leave their homes and families to guard our freedom and our way of life.
With the deployment in January 2024 of close to 2,000 New Jersey Army National Guard members to the Middle East, and the ongoing deployment of elements of the New Jersey Air National Guard, the need for the assistance provided by the National Guard State Family Readiness Council has never been greater.
Since its establishment in 2004, the Council has provided much needed support to New Jersey’s citizen soldiers in the form of grants when their service to our nation creates personal hardship for them and their families.
Over the past 20 years, following a rigorous review process, of the $2.77M donated, the Council has distributed $2.40M to New Jersey National Guard members whose deployments result in an inability to meet their basic living expenses (e.g. rent, mortgage, car payments, utilities or child care needs) or who encounter unexpected challenges such as the failure of their home heating systems, or major appliances.
The Council’s all-volunteer membership is supported in its work by the contributions of individual and corporate donors. More than 97% of all funds raised are provided to soldiers and airmen in need.
